Taught Programmes - Application Process

All applicants for taught programmes could apply through the online application system or by obtaining forms from the university or through its forms selling points around the world, by choosing a programme from the available listed programmes.

What to include submit or (upload) with your application are:
• Certified results for all examinations mentioned on your application form and/or confirmation of the award of your qualification(s).
• Evidence of French or English language proficiency.
• Certified translations of your award and transcripts if they are not in French or English.
• A copy of your birth certificate or passport

Please note that certain programmes request additional documentation such as personal statements and/or references. Please check the programme entry requirements to ensure you have included the required information.

Decision Letter
You will receive one of the following letters from the Directorate of Research & Post Graduate Programmes Admissions Office:
An unconditional offer. You satisfy all of the academic conditions required and we are offering you a place.
A conditional offer. You do not yet satisfy the academic conditions required before entry but you propose to do so. The conditions are listed in the offer letter and may include French or English language tests.
Letter of regret. We are unable to offer you a place.

Please note that a decision is authoritative and official only if it has been sent in writing from the Directorate of Research & Post Graduate Programmes Admissions Office.

Accepting a place at ESCAE-Benin University
To accept your offer, you must pay your acceptance deposit and send in the course acceptance form, to the Directorate of Research & Post Graduate Programmes Admissions Office. On receipt of this acceptance form/deposit, the Directorate of Research & Post Graduate Programmes Admissions Office will change the status of your application to Firmly Accepted. You will receive an orientation pack online thereafter. The orientation pack will provide you with full details of enrolment and studies.

Deferring your offer
You cannot defer a place on a taught postgraduate programme without the permission of the Course Director. If you are offered a deferral, you will receive a letter from the Directorate of Research & Post Graduate Programmes Admissions Office confirming that a deferral has been granted. If you are not offered a deferral, then you must re-apply for the programme the following academic year.

Admissions Appeals Process

Application Form - Research Postgraduate Degree:

Please return the completed form and research proposal to Directorate of Research & Post Graduate Programmes Admissions Office by email drpgsadmissions@international-escae.org
• Provide a detailed proposal of the research to be undertaken (on separate sheets if necessary). This should include sections on
1. Description of the topic including the aims of the research;
2. Objectives and/or hypotheses
3. Research Methodology, including how the data will be collected, and
4. Bibliography and references.
• Please note that IPMA-UK Members applicants that desire fee reduction under the IPMA-UK and ESCAE MOU should ensure that a Fee Reduction Application Form is completed, signed and submitted to Directorate of Research & Post Graduate Programmes Admissions Office.

If you have not identified a potential supervsior(s) you will need to complete an Expression of Interest form and a research prospoal

Note: To enable the relevant faculty and department to identify a potential supervisor prospective applicants to should include a research project proposal

• The completed Expression of Interest form and research proposal in PDF format should be submitted to the Directorate of Research & Post Graduate Programmes Admissions Office at - drpgsadmissions@international-escae.org

Both the Expression of Interest form and the Research proposal will be sent to the relevant faculty and department who will endeavour to identify an appropriate supervisor

If French or English is not your first language please indicate the score you achieved if you have completed a French or an English language proficiency test.

What happens after I apply?
Completed application forms are reviewed by the relevant faculty and then presented on a monthly basis to the Postgraduate Research Committee. Following this meeting applicants will receive a decision letter from the Directorate of Research & Post Graduate Programmes Admissions Office. If a prospective applicant wishes to appeal the decsion of the Postgraduate Research Committee, details of the process are available from Directorate of Research & Post Graduate Programmes Admissions Office Appeal Process .
